Frequently Asked Questions
How do I create a MirrorMe account?
To create an account on MirrorMe, you need to have an existing Facebook account. Our app uses Facebook to gather your information and to create a profile for you on MirrorMe. You will be asked to create an account when you either like, dislike, comment or try to post on the app. After you give Facebook permission, you will never have to log into the app again, it is as simple as that. We know you you don't have time for that since you are too busy taking over the world, so we won't make you.
How do I upload a celebrity look alike?
You can upload a celebrity look alike by selecting the post icon in the top right corner of the app. Once you have selected that icon, you will have to upload a photo of your celeb look alike and the celebrity that you are comparing them to. You can upload each photo by clicking in the boxes when the post screen opens, add a caption and a tag and post. It's as simple as that.
I want to share it with my friends that aren't on MirrorMe, how do I do that?
To be quite honest, the best way to share doppelgangers with your friends is to convince them to download the app and tag them. Just in case they don't have the app or are stuck in the stone age with an un-smart phone, you can also reach your friends by sharing your doppelgangers through Facebook, Instagram and through email. You can share on social media platforms by clicking on the picture on the news feed and simply selecting where you want to share it.
What if my friends don't look the celebrity they posted at all?
If your friends don't like the celebrity look alike post that you created, they can untag themselves from the post. You may have a friend who thinks he looks like Tom Cruise when he actually resembles Steve Carell more, therefore it is your obligation to let him know. As a friend, you have to do you duty, but do so softly. With the help of Ryan Gosling in Crazy, Stupid, Love, Steve Carell went from drab to fab, so send your friend some love.
I'm looking for a certain celebrity and can't find them, what do I do?
If you can't find the celebrity you are looking on the celebrity page or by utilizing the search bar on that page, we recommend uploading an image of the celebrity themselves. Once you have uploaded a picture of a celebrity, other MirrorMe users will be able to access that celebrity to use for their doppelgangers. So by helping yourself, you help the MirrorMe community, what's wrong with that?
